It’s 1971 and Evel Knievel has just jumped over 19 cars on a Harley. Three Dog Night’s “Joy to the World” is playing on the radio. Jeans are flared, and fondue parties are all the rage. In Norway, the Stressless® recliner is born and immediately becomes a sensation—the world’s first real TV chair. You can lean back in comfort to watch “All in the Family” or “Gunsmoke.” You can swivel to reach your piña colada on the coffee table with one easy movement. The patented sliding system is unique in 1971.

 

Fast forward to 2021, and it still is.
